It is no coincidence that this armchair by Marcel Breuer bears the name "Wassily". It is named after the famous Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky, who worked as a teacher at the Bauhaus in Weimar, Dessau and Berlin. What is particularly impressive about this former club chair is the mixture of its clear rectangular shape and curved, rounded edges. The taut leather strips give the design a functional Bauhaus charm.
The Wassily armchair looks great in combination with a glass table from the Bauhaus era. Of course, a painting by Wassily Kandinsky would be the perfect complement as a wall decoration.
