The Bibendum armchair by Eileen Gray has a solid wood frame upholstered with foamed polyurethane. The base is made of chrome-plated tubular steel. Eileen Gray designed the extravagant Bibendum for Susanne Talbot's apartment in Paris. Despite its size, the armchair is impressively harmonious and even after more than 75 years, it has lost none of its relevance and resilience.
