The RARRocking Chair by Charles Eames was developed in 1949 for the 'Low Cost Furniture Design' competition of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The seating furniture, which belongs to the Charles Eames 'Fiberglass Group', is a special variant of the series.
The comfortable model of the "Plastic Chairs" with armrests that merge seamlessly into the seat shell. The so-called RAR (Rocking Armchair Rod Base) Rockers rocking chairs by Ray and Charles Eames were probably originally a gift to H. Miller's employees who had just given birth to newborn babies. The rocking feet are made of beech wood.
