This table by Mies van der Rohe matches the famous Barcelona series of armchairs and stools, which was designed for the King of Spain and presented at the 1929 World Exhibition. Although the coffee table was only made some time later by Mies van der Rohe for the "Tugendhat" house, it forms an attractive seating area for offices and living rooms with the furniture from the Barcelona series.
The table by Mies van der Rohe consists of a flat steel frame and a 12 mm thick glass top. A chrome-plated "X" appears under the transparent top due to the design.
