Description

A milestone in furniture design - the Rene Herbst chaise longue. The chrome chaise longue is functional, minimalist and yet comfortable. René Herbst has created a classic with this multi-adjustable chaise longue. The seat and backrest of this lounger consist of taut, elastic straps that are suspended in the tubular steel frame.

The Chaise Sandows furniture series, which also included other seating furniture, was presented at the Salon d'Autumn in 1929. With its minimalist design and maximum functionality, the chaise is a prime example of the Bauhaus style.
