Bauhaus designer Eileen Gray created this day bed for Madame Talbot's apartment in Paris. Clear structures, a chrome-plated frame and the leather cover combine to create the classic cool Bauhaus look. Nevertheless, the daybed is very comfortable and really comes into its own in a loft. However, the daybed from Eileen Gray also fits easily into small rooms and is often used as a guest bed.
Eileen Gray was also impressed by the quality of her bed at the time, as she later took it with her to her own home in Roquebrune. The bed is 190 centimetres long and 85 centimetres deep. The frame is made of hardwood. Polyurethane foam was used for the upholstery.
